my experience with depop

 the title may be misleading, because i truly have no experience with depop.

however, i've realized how easy it actually is to sell on it. i've always been in the loop on depop and have bought a few things myself, as i really enjoy thrifting! i am someone who is definitely not a huge consumer of clothes. i have issues with spending money, in the sense that i hate doing it, therefore i don't usually buy myself as much as i'd like/want (but this is a whole other post i should probably make).

with depop, i've had really smooth sailing so far. i got it yesterday and just decided to list some clothes that i either don't wear, got as gifts and never returned, or that i feel would be better in the hands of other people. much to my surprise, i've sold 7 items in the span of 16 hours!

i genuinely thought it would be very difficult to actually go through the selling process, mainly because i didn't have any parcels to ship in, and my transportation to the post office is based on whenever my mum wants to drive me!

after i finally dug up the courage to ask her to buy some parcels (for like 1 dollar each at dollar tree!!), it was super easy to print my own labels and package everything.

i've run into some very understanding, kind, and easygoing people! i love that i'm now able to become part of a community with people who love to reuse and repurpose things!

i find it so especially fulfilling when someone expresses their enthusiasm about an item. a girl messaged me about some jeans i was selling and said she really wanted them for back to school and that she was super happy to get her hands on the pair! i'm glad i can provide someone with that confidence that comes with a pair of jeans they genuinely love.

i have heard of bad experiences on depop, and it's super unfortunate. i'm lucky enough to not have run into anything like that, and i hope my time selling continues to be positive!
